xTool just pulled the cover off something we have been waiting to see: the O1 Omni, which the company is calling the world's first all-in-one "Omni Printer." Pre-orders opened today, June 29, 2026, with the full launch set for July 15. The pitch is right there in the slogan, "From Rigid to Fabric. Print It All," and if it lives up to half of it, this is a genuinely interesting machine for makers and small shops. We will say up front that everything below is what xTool claims at announcement, not yet something we have run ourselves, and that is exactly why we want to get our hands on one.
What the O1 Omni actually is
Most desktop "UV printers" do one job: lay down UV-cured ink on a flat, rigid object like a phone case, a sign blank, or a tumbler. The O1 Omni is trying to be four machines in one. xTool says it merges UV, DTG (direct-to-garment), DTF (direct-to-film), and UV DTF into a single desktop unit. In plain terms, that means one box that can print full color onto wood, acrylic, glass, and metal, print directly onto a t-shirt, and crank out transfer decals and stickers, instead of buying a separate machine for each of those jobs.
The thing making that possible is a dual printhead setup that xTool says is upgradable. You can run it as dual-UV for faster output and layered effects, or as a hybrid UV-plus-fabric rig to jump between hard goods and apparel. For anyone who has priced out a UV printer AND a garment printer AND a transfer setup, collapsing that into one desktop is the headline.
How it is different from a typical UV printer
A few things stand out beyond the four-in-one trick. The first is what xTool calls its Pixel-Scan Vision System. It pairs a line laser that measures an object's height (so the printhead auto-focuses and does not crash into a tall part) with a flatbed-style CIS scanner that xTool says gives a distortion-free, 1:1 view of whatever you drop on the bed. The promise is a "Drop and Print" workflow with no jigs: set the object down, let the machine see exactly where it is, and print. If that works as described, it removes one of the most annoying parts of UV printing, which is fiddly alignment.
The second is the tie-in to xTool's laser ecosystem. Because xTool is best known as a laser engraver company, the O1 is built to hand off work from a laser to the printer: laser-cut a shape, move it over, and the software is supposed to recognize and align the print automatically. xTool also lists AI contour recognition that fills a design while avoiding holes and cutouts, a texture library for raised 3D relief up to 7mm, and even a lenticular generator for naked-eye 3D effects.
Third, the materials and finishing claims are aggressive. The Dual-Head UV Edition is said to support flexible inks, soft and hard white inks, and fluorescent neon inks for blacklight effects. The UV-plus-Fabric Edition is OEKO-TEX certified and, per xTool, survives 50-plus washes without fading. xTool says the inks are GREENGUARD-certified, there is built-in air filtration for home studios, and a "SmartCycle 2.0" maintenance routine that can sit idle for 14 days without clogging. Clog management is a real pain point on inkjet-style printers, so that one is worth testing hard.
Configurations and pricing
xTool is launching three versions. The entry UV Edition is $1,699 on pre-order ($2,499 MSRP). The Dual-Head UV Edition is $2,699 pre-order ($3,299 MSRP). The top cross-category UV-plus-Fabric Edition is $2,799 pre-order ($3,499 MSRP). During the pre-order window a $50 deposit locks in the early pricing plus a bonus bundle xTool values at $459, with final payment and global launch on July 15. Why this matters for makers and small businesses
The interesting story here is not the spec sheet, it is the math. One great design should not be trapped on a single material or product type. With a machine like this, the same artwork could become a printed wood sign, a full-color panel, a run of stickers, and a shirt, all from one file. For a small business, that is more sellable products without buying and maintaining four machines. For designers and engineers, full-color UV on rigid parts opens up things like labeled panels, branded enclosures, control-panel overlays, and short-run product mockups that look finished instead of taped-together.

The honest part: we want to test it
Announcements are easy. Wash tests, alignment accuracy on weird-shaped parts, neon ink durability, and how that no-clog claim holds up after a real two-week gap are the things that separate a great machine from a great press release. This would be our first UV printer, and we would genuinely love to put the O1 Omni through its paces and report back honestly, the good and the rough edges.
