Why build a custom miner rack
Most Bitaxe stands and NerdQaxe racks are sold as fixed 3 slot holders for one device. This builder lets you mix a Bitaxe Gamma, a Supra or Ultra, a NerdQaxe+ or NerdQaxe++ and a Nano 3S in the same rack, add cooling where you need it, and grow to 12 slots. Racks larger than our 340 x 320 x 340 mm build volume are split automatically into modules that interlock with keyed joints.
Supported miners and slot sizes
Slot sizes are based on the assembled miner with its stock heatsink and fan, plus 4 mm of clearance on each side. Published sizes vary between sellers, so treat these as approximate and choose Other with your own measurements if your unit differs.
| Miner | Approximate size (L x W x H) |
|---|---|
| Bitaxe Gamma 601 | 102 x 76 x 50 mm |
| Bitaxe Supra or Ultra | 102 x 76 x 50 mm |
| NerdQaxe+ | 140 x 100 x 55 mm |
| NerdQaxe++ | 140 x 100 x 60 mm |
| Nano 3S | 205 x 115 x 50 mm |
| Other | Your measurements, up to 300 x 280 x 150 mm |
Layouts
- Shelf row: miners stand upright side by side on a desk or shelf, with open sides for airflow.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best stand for a Bitaxe Gamma or Supra?
A stand that holds the miner upright with open sides for airflow and room for the stock fan. Our shelf row layout does that, and you can add 60, 80 or 92 mm fan mounts per slot and mix Bitaxe models in the same rack.
Can I put a Bitaxe and a NerdQaxe in the same rack?
Yes. Each slot has its own device setting, so one rack can hold a Bitaxe Gamma 601, a Supra or Ultra, a NerdQaxe+, a NerdQaxe++ and a Nano 3S together. Each slot is sized for the miner you choose.
What sizes are the NerdQaxe+ and NerdQaxe++ slots?
We size the NerdQaxe+ at about 140 x 100 x 55 mm and the NerdQaxe++ at about 140 x 100 x 60 mm with heatsink and fan, plus 4 mm clearance per side. If your unit measures differently, choose Other and enter your size.
How many miners can one rack hold?
1 to 12 slots. Racks larger than our 340 x 320 x 340 mm build volume are split into modules that interlock with keyed joints, so a 12 slot rack arrives as a few parts that lock together.
Do you make 10 inch and 19 inch rack mounts for home miners?
Yes. The 10 inch option fits homelab and network racks and the 19 inch option fits standard server racks. Each row is a vented panel with rack ears and screw holes. 19 inch panels are printed as two halves that key together.
How do I keep home Bitcoin miners cool?
Give each miner open airflow, keep intake and exhaust from mixing, and add a fan where heat builds up. Add a 60, 80 or 92 mm fan mount on any slot. For ducting hot air out of a room, use our custom duct fitting builder.
Are the fan mounts included with fans?
No. We print the fan mount, sized for a standard 60, 80 or 92 mm case fan, and you add the fan you prefer. Each fan mount adds $5.
What material are the racks made of?
PETG, a tough engineering polymer that handles the warm air around small miners better than PLA. Keep printed parts away from heat over roughly 70 C (158 F).
What do the cable channel and PSU shelf do?
The cable channel runs along the back of the rack to route USB C and barrel power leads. The PSU shelf is a vented shelf that holds a power brick or small power supply next to the rack.
How much does a custom miner rack cost?
Most 3 slot racks are about $20 to $45, and 6 to 12 slot racks are about $45 to $100 depending on layout and devices. Fan mounts add $5 each, colors and the engraved label are free, and shipping in the US is included. The builder shows your exact price.
Can I order a rack for a board or miner that is not listed?
Yes. Choose Other and enter the length, width and height, or send your board specs with the form on this page for a custom quote.
How long does shipping take?
Racks are printed to order and usually ship in 3 to 5 business days. Shipping is free within the United States.
My miner is not listed. Can I still order?
Yes. Choose Other in any slot and enter the length, width and height of your miner with its heatsink and fan, in millimeters. For a board with unusual ports or mounting, use the custom board specs form on this page and we will quote it.
How tight is the fit?
Each slot adds 4 mm of clearance on every side of the miner size, so the miner slides in and out by hand without forcing. If you enter a custom size, measure the widest points including the heatsink, fan and any cables that stick out.
Can PETG handle the heat from a miner?
Yes, for small home miners. PETG holds its shape up to roughly 70 C (158 F). Bitaxe and NerdQaxe units exhaust warm air well below that when their fans run, but keep the heatsink itself from resting on the rack and never block a miner's own fan.
Are the miners, fans or power supplies included?
No. You get the printed rack only. Miners, case fans, power supplies and cables are not included. Fan mounts fit standard 60, 80 or 92 mm case fans.
What screws do I need for the rack mount?
Rack screws and cage nuts are not included. The 10 inch and 19 inch panels use the standard screw holes in your rack ears, so use the hardware that came with your rack, usually M6 or 10-32 screws with cage nuts or clip nuts.
How do the modules go together?
Racks that are split into modules join with printed keys. Line up the module edges, slide the keys into their slots, and press until flush. For 19 inch panels the two halves key together in the center before you mount the panel in the rack. No glue or tools are needed.
What colors can I choose?
Pick a main color and an accent color from Black, White, Yellow, Blue, Green, Red, Orange and Gray at no extra charge. The accent color is used for fan mounts, rack ears, keys and the label.
Can I return a custom rack?
Each rack is printed to your selected options, so racks printed correctly to the submitted order are not refundable. Before checkout you confirm that you personally reviewed your options, and we print exactly what you submit, including choices made with help from an AI assistant. If a part arrives damaged or does not match your order, email info@dcadditivepros.com with photos and we will make it right.
How do I clean the rack?
Wipe it with a dry cloth or blow off dust with compressed air while the miners are unplugged. For a deeper clean, use mild soap and lukewarm water and let it dry fully. Do not use a dishwasher, hot water or strong solvents.
Will this rack fit an Antminer S9 or other large ASIC miners?
No. This builder is made for small home miners like the Bitaxe, NerdQaxe and Nano 3S. Full size ASIC miners such as the Antminer S9 are too large and too hot for a printed PETG rack. Send us your requirements with the specs form and we can quote a different solution.
Custom board or enclosure specs
Have a miner or board that is not listed, a multi unit enclosure, or a larger run for a mining club or shop? Send the specs and we will quote it.
