Frequently asked questions
What gasket shapes can I order?
You can order round rings, rectangular or square frames, flange gaskets with bolt holes, and flat pads with optional holes.
Can I enter sizes in inches or millimeters?
Yes. Use the inches or mm toggle. All sizes are converted to millimeters for production.
What is the largest gasket you can make?
Each gasket must fit within a 340 x 320 mm footprint, about 13.4 x 12.6 inches. Thickness can be 1 to 20 mm.
What are the minimum thickness and border width?
The minimum thickness is about 1 mm and the minimum border or ring width is 2 mm. The builder will not accept smaller values.
Which material should I choose?
TPU 95A is a firm, durable general purpose choice. TPU 90A is softer and tends to seal better at low pressure. PEBA 95A is springier and recovers its shape well, and it costs more.
What temperatures and pressures are these gaskets suitable for?
Printed TPU and PEBA gaskets are for low to moderate temperature use, kept under roughly 80 C (175 F), and low pressure use. They are not for steam, fuel, high pressure or safety critical sealing. You are responsible for testing fit and suitability for your application.
Do you offer quantity discounts?
Yes. Discounts apply per identical gasket: 5 to 9 pieces save 5 percent, 10 to 24 save 10 percent, and 25 to 50 save 15 percent. The setup fee is charged once per design, so larger quantities cost less per piece.
How long does it take and how much is shipping?
Gaskets are printed to order and usually ship in 3 to 5 business days. Shipping is free within the United States.
Can you make gaskets for high heat, chemicals, fuel or pressure?
Those applications need different materials and are quoted by inquiry only. Use the special materials or specs request form and include your requirements. We build to the specifications you provide.
Can I send a drawing for an odd shape?
Yes. Send a drawing or CAD file to info@dcadditivepros.com or upload it with our quote tool.
