Frequently asked questions
What sizes of duct fittings can I order?
You can order any size from 1 inch to 8 inches in quarter inch steps. Each outlet can be a different size, so reducers and reducing tees are supported.
What is the largest fitting you can make?
Each fitting must fit within a 340 x 320 x 340 mm build area, about 13 x 12 x 13 inches. The builder checks this for you and tells you if a layout is too large.
What fitting types are available?
The builder makes straight couplers, reducers, 90 and 45 degree elbows, tees, wyes, crosses and double wyes.
Should I choose PETG or ABS?
PETG is tough and a good choice for general dust collection and ventilation at room temperature. ABS handles higher temperatures than PETG and suits warmer environments. If your application involves high heat or chemicals, send us the details for a material recommendation.
Will the fitting seal airtight?
Each port is made to slide inside the duct at the size you enter, or to slide over the duct as a sleeve. For an airtight joint we recommend foil HVAC tape, a clamp or sealant at each connection.
Can I get a custom angle or an odd size?
Yes. The builder covers 90 and 45 degree layouts and sizes in quarter inch steps. For other angles or special shapes, describe what you need in the Special materials or specs form below.
Do you offer bulk quantities?
Yes. You can order up to 20 of a fitting in the builder. For larger runs, send a request with the form below.
How long does it take?
Fittings are printed to order and usually ship in 3 to 5 business days, plus transit time.
How much is shipping?
Shipping is free within the United States.
Can you use special materials like nylon, carbon fiber, polycarbonate, PEEK or ULTEM?
Yes, on request. Special materials are quoted by inquiry only. Use the form below and include your heat, chemical or flame requirements.
Can you build to military or government specifications?
We build to the specifications you provide. Send your drawings and requirements and we will confirm what we can supply before you order.
