Everyday · anodized 5052 Al
Lightest to carry. Type II anodize for corrosion resistance and lightweight autoclave use. Prefers neutral or enzymatic detergents.
Everyday · passivated 304
Classic 18/8 stainless. Stiff and corrosion-resistant for repeated reprocessing. Keep away from bleach and chloride soaks.
Elite · passivated 316
Molybdenum-bearing stainless with added chloride resistance for heavy reprocessing. Higher cost; heavier than aluminum.
