A rack mountable parking strip for disconnected UQD liquid cooling couplings. During a tray swap or loop service, a disconnected hose dangles against the rack frame, the busbar, or ends up on the floor collecting exactly the debris a coolant loop cannot tolerate. This strip gives every disconnected coupling a parking spot at working height. Engineered and manufactured to order in the USA by DC Additive Pros.

Mounting screws and zip ties are not included, because every rack already has the right ones. Custom configurations are the point of made to order manufacturing: any mix of UQD sizes and sides, including all one size for integration benches, at the same price. Confirm your sizes before you buy
Every strip is cut to order, so the four cradles can be any combination of UQD sizes and sides you want, at no extra cost and no change in price. The standard strip ships with UQD04 plug, UQD04 socket, UQD06 plug and UQD06 socket, each cut to the published Staubli body dimension, the same verified table our dust caps are built from. If that is what you run, order it as listed and we build it.
If you need a different loadout, put these three things in the order notes at checkout, or message us before you order:
- The brand of coupling you run. Staubli, Parker, CPC, Danfoss, CEJN or other.
- The size and side you want in each of the four positions, listed in order. For example: UQD06 socket, UQD06 socket, UQD04 plug, UQD04 plug. All four positions the same size is a normal request for an integration bench.
- If your brand does not publish a body outer diameter, one caliper reading of the coupling body at its widest cylindrical point, in millimeters to two decimal places.
Why we ask for a measurement instead of guessing: only the internal mating interface is standardized by OCP. The outer body diameter is not, and it differs between brands and between production runs of the same brand. We cut every cradle to a number, either a published one or one you measured. A cradle built on a guessed dimension does not fit, and then both of us have wasted a week.

Fit guarantee
Only the internal mating interface is standardized by OCP, so coupling body diameters vary between brands and between production runs. If a cradle does not fit the coupling you are running, send us the brand, size and side, or a caliper reading of the body diameter, and we recut and reship the strip at no charge. If you would rather not wait, we refund you in full. Made to order manufacturing means a recut costs us one print, not a warehouse, so there is no reason for you to carry that risk.

Where do you put a disconnected liquid cooling hose during server service?
In a parking clip at working height. This strip holds the coupling body in a snap in cradle so the hose never touches the floor or drapes across a busbar.
What holds a UQD coupling when it is not connected?
A sized cradle clip. Each clip on this strip is cut to the published body diameter of a specific UQD size and side, with 1.7 to 2.5 mm of snap over retention.
Can I get a parking strip for six couplings of the same size?
Yes. The clip layout is parametric, any count and any mix of sizes and sides is a custom strip at the same unit economics. Tell us what your bench needs.
Does a parking strip work with dust caps installed?
Yes. The cradle grips the coupling body behind the face, so a capped coupling parks exactly like a bare one.
How does the strip mount in the rack?
Two M6 keyhole slots for cage nut screws or any pan head M6, plus four zip tie slots for poles and manifold brackets. Hardware is not included.
Is 3D printed ABS strong enough to hold a coupling and hose?
Yes. Each clip carries a coupling that weighs a few hundred grams, the snap arms operate at under a third of the material's strain limit, and the strip carries no structural rack load.
Can it hold a connected, pressurized hose?
No, and it is not sold for that. This is a parking bracket for an open, depressurized coupling and its hose tail during service. It is not a hose restraint for a live line and it carries no pressure rating.

Where can I get a custom bracket made for a server rack or a data center?
Here. Rack hardware is what we build: cooling ducts, coupling holders and hose management, blanking and filler panels, cable routing, PDU and switch accessories. We work in rack units, EIA hole spacing and real cabinet depths, so a part shows up ready to mount instead of ready to modify.
Can someone make a replacement part that the manufacturer discontinued?
Yes. Obsolete plastic parts are one of the most common jobs we take: a snapped latch, a missing spacer, a broken clip on equipment that is otherwise perfectly good. Send the broken piece, or a photograph of it next to a caliper or a steel rule, and we model a replacement from it.
What is the minimum order for a custom ABS part?
One. Everything we sell is made to order, so there is no tooling to amortize and no minimum quantity. One piece is a normal order, and a custom configuration costs the same as a stock one.
What if I do not have a CAD file or a drawing?
That is the usual case and it is not a problem. A photograph of the part, or of the space it has to fit, plus caliper readings of the dimensions that actually matter, is enough to start. We ask for specific measurements rather than guessing, because a part built on a guessed dimension does not fit and both of us have wasted a week.
How long does a custom ABS part take?
Design turnaround on a straightforward part is usually a day or two, and production is measured in hours per piece rather than weeks. Most custom orders ship within 5 to 10 business days. Larger engineered assemblies take longer, and we give you the real number before you pay rather than after.
What materials do you print, and why not PLA?
ABS and ASA. ABS for interior and rack mounted parts, ASA when the part sees sunlight or weather. Both are tough engineering thermoplastics with real heat resistance. PLA is a display material that softens in a warm cabinet, which is exactly where most of our parts live.
Can you match a part to a specific brand of equipment?
Yes, and we build to published manufacturer dimensions wherever they exist, or to your caliper measurements where they do not. Parts are compatible with the referenced equipment.
