Dust Caps for UQD Liquid Cooling Couplings, 10 Pack, Made in USA
Push on dust caps for Universal Quick Disconnect (UQD) liquid cooling couplings, the OCP standard connector used across liquid cooled AI and HPC racks. An open UQD face collects dust from the moment a hose ships until the moment it clicks into a manifold, and foreign debris control in a coolant loop is not optional. The coupling manufacturers list no protection cap as a catalog accessory. This is that missing accessory, engineered and manufactured to order in the USA by DC Additive Pros.
What you get
- Ten caps per pack, one size and side per pack
- Six internal crush ribs grip the coupling body, firm thumb push on and off
- Internal standoff ring rests on the outer rim only, keeping the cap floor clear of the wipeable valve face
- Lead in chamfered rim, knurled grip, tether tab with 3.2 mm lanyard hole
- Solid ABS, printed to order in the United States
Fitment, built from published dimensions
Manufactured to the published Staubli UQD body dimensions, cross checked against the Gates UQD tables before the first unit was cut. Sizes UQD02, UQD04, UQD06 and UQD08, plug side and socket side. Body diameters differ between coupling brands even within the OCP standard, so if your hardware is Parker, CPC, Danfoss, CEJN or Gates, tell us at checkout and we manufacture your caps to that brand's published dimensions at no extra charge.
For disconnected, depressurized couplings only. This is a dust and impact cover, not a pressure device, and it makes no sealing claim. It never enters the coupling and never contacts the valve or locking mechanism.
Frequently asked questions
Do UQD liquid cooling couplings come with dust caps?
No. Staubli, Gates and CPC list no protection cap as a catalog accessory for their UQD lines. These caps fill that gap and are made to order in the USA.
What protects UQD coupling faces during shipping and installation?
A push on exterior dust cap. This cap grips the coupling body on six crush ribs and covers the face without touching the valve or sealing surfaces.
Do these caps fit Parker, CPC, Danfoss, CEJN or Gates UQD couplings?
Not the Staubli version, and that is by design. Only the internal mating interface is standardized by OCP, outer body diameters differ by brand, so a cap that fits everything grips nothing. Tell us your brand and we manufacture to that brand's published dimensions at no extra charge.
Are 3D printed caps safe to use near a liquid cooling loop?
Yes for this use. The cap is an exterior cover on a disconnected, depressurized coupling. It is not pressure rated, it is not a seal, and it never contacts the sealing surfaces or enters the flow path.
How do I identify which UQD size I have?
Measure the body outer diameter behind the face. On Staubli hardware the plug measures 16.5, 21.0, 26.5 or 30.0 mm and the socket 18.5, 24.0, 29.5 or 32.5 mm for UQD02 through UQD08. If you are unsure, send a photo with a caliper in frame.
Do you sell UQD dust caps in bulk for rack integration?
Yes. 100 cap packs and larger runs are quoted directly, in your choice of sizes and sides, with color coding available for plug versus socket.
